My research explores the politics of local order in civil war and counterinsurgency. I aim to understand how states shape order across counterinsurgencies and ceasefires, and explore the role knowledge production and narratives have to play in these processes.
While regionally-focused on South Asia with field experience in Northeast India, I am interested in comparisons across Western and non-Western counterinsurgency campaigns, as well as ceasefires.
